Terms of use

Last updated:

These terms cover your use of this website. They also give an overview of how Crema Labs Inc. provides Remy. "We" and "us" mean Crema Labs Inc.

If you are a Remy customer

Your use of Remy is governed by the order form and agreement your company signed with us. If they say something different from this page, they win. This page is a summary to help you find your way. It does not change your agreement.

Using this website

This website tells you about Remy and lets you book a demo. You may use it for that. Please do not:

  • try to break into it, overload it or get around its security;
  • copy large parts of it, or collect its content with automated tools;
  • use it to break the law or to harm anyone.

The information on this website is general. We try to keep it right, but it may be out of date, and it is not an offer. What Remy includes for your company is set out in your order form.

How Remy is provided

Remy is a subscription service, priced per restaurant. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus taxes.

Unlimited seats and questions, under fair use. Plans include as many users as you like and unlimited questions to Remy, under fair use. Fair use means the normal use of a restaurant team. Your order form sets the level. If your group regularly goes past it, we agree a fair adjustment with you in good faith.

Offers. An offer on this website, such as a free month, applies as set out in your order form.

Your systems and their vendors. Remy reads systems run by other companies, such as your point of sale and booking tools.

  • You need the right to connect each system and to share its data with us.
  • You follow those vendors' terms. If a vendor charges a fee for data access, the vendor bills you directly.
  • We are not responsible for a vendor's outages, format changes or new rules. If a vendor limits access, we may need to change or remove a feature. We will tell you promptly.
  • How fresh your figures are depends on when your vendors send data.

Acceptable use of Remy

When you use Remy, you agree not to:

  • copy, resell or share Remy with people outside your company;
  • try to take apart Remy's software or find its source code, where the law allows us to forbid this;
  • test Remy's security, or get around its access limits, without our written permission;
  • use Remy to build a competing product;
  • send us data you don't have the right to share;
  • send us social insurance numbers, bank or card numbers, home addresses or health information;
  • use Remy for anything unlawful, or for high-risk decisions without a person checking them.

Remy's answers

Remy works out its figures from your own data, using our code. The AI helps choose what to look up and puts the result into words. It does not write the figures.

Remy's answers are not accounting, financial, tax or legal advice. Please check figures before you use them in financial reports. AI can make mistakes, and Remy does not replace a person's judgement.

Your data

You own your restaurant's data, and you own Remy's answers to your questions.

"Your data stays yours" means: you own your data; you can export it while your agreement lasts and for 30 days after it ends; and you can have it deleted, as our privacy policy explains. It does not cover anonymised data and usage records, which we keep and use as the privacy policy describes.

Our property and your feedback

We own Remy, its software, our AI models, our usage records and anonymised data, and everything we build to improve them. These terms don't give you any of those rights, except to use Remy as your agreement allows.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

No guarantees for this website

We provide this website as it is. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or secure. To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises about it.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, from your use of this website.

For Remy customers, the limits in your agreement apply instead.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute goes to the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top. If you keep using this website after a change, the new terms apply. Changes to a customer's agreement are made as that agreement says.
